Happy Valentines

It has been a very warm week for this time of year, but that will change Sunday night.  Next week winter returns.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather last Wednesday with a trip up to treeline on Flattop with Joe and Pat Hudak and George Lundstrum.  We used the regular trail on the way up then veered off-trail down toward Lake Helene.  It was awesome.  You have to enjoy those warm, windless days which don’t come that often.

My favorite pic of the day was of George’s duct-taped pants.  You know a true seasoned snowshoer when you see duct-tape.

Has been an overly busy winter for me.  WTW bookings are brisk- really brisk.  The new Footpaths website is finally up and the new Warming House website is in the works.  Three of us from the store finished a Wilderness First-Aid class last week-end.  I’m tired and thinking about getting away for a few days.  But where?  Warm would be nice, but really, I could enjoy somewhere around here.  Tina and I talked about going to Nederland doing some snowshoeing.  We could take Beau.  Now that’s funny.  David is going to France.  Phebe- to Nederland.  Something wrong with this picture.
