To truly experience the sport of snowshoeing, you need a guide and you need to get off-trail.  This is our most popular snowshoe adventure with all the bells and whistles.  Full day of private guided snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park with uphill winter trail ascents and downhill off-trail descents. Destinations and pace are geared to your ability level so you’ll never end up in a group that is too slow or too fast.  This enables us to give you the best experience.

Price: $180 for 1-2 people, $25 each additional person (lunch included)

Group Rates: $40 per person for 5 or more people (hot chocolate, but no lunch)

All trips include: snowshoes, poles, guide, hot chocolate

Snoeshoeing in the Rocky MountaingsWelcome to Winter Tour

Winter is a very special time in Rocky Mountain National Park.  This 3-hour Welcome to Winter trip will start with a visit to Horseshoe Park and the Alluvial Fan.  Your guide will introduce you to the wonders of the park, it’s history and the present day beetle infestation. Not to be missed is an easy introduction to snowshoeing with about a mile of comfortably paced adventure.  This trip is perfect if you’ve just arrived and need to get acclimated to the area.  It’s also Kid/family friendly.  Like our other trips, this trip is only offered as a private trip and tailor-made for your ability level.

Trip includes: guide, transportation, snowshoes, poles, hot chocolate

Does not include: park pass, guide gratuities (always appreciated)

Price: $150 for 1-2 people, $15 each additional person

Trips are scheduled with a guide ahead of time and usually meet at The Warming House at 9 a.m. unless otherwise stated.

For Rocky Mountain Adventure Trips we provide lunch for up to four people and will need to know if there are any dietary restrictions. Lunch is not provided for group rates. All trips include hot chocolate.

For snowshoeing wear layers for warmth, nylon pants preferred, gloves, hat, sunglasses, winter or hiking boots and warm socks.

Bring about 21 oz. of water per person.

Destinations are chosen according to weather, snow conditions and ability level. We often use the “seams” in between the regular trails to descent so that we give you an off-trail experience.
